Comfort Craft AIS System is Ideal for Stretch Therapy
Comfort Craft AIS System is Ideal for Stretch Therapy
Sports therapists put a lot of strain on their bodies in a given session just to help comfort and correct their client’s body. Using their own strength on certain pressure points can exhaust therapists and make them less-efficient than they would like to be. This can be especially difficult during stretch therapy when a therapist wants to concentrate on a particular area but has a hard time controlling the stretch to the best of her ability. That’s where Comfort Craft’s AIS (Active Isolated Stretching) system comes in.
What Does AIS do?
Comfort Craft’s Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) system, combined with our Model 800 table, allows physical therapists the ability to isolate areas for improved stretch treatment. Using angle and height adjustments on the Model 800 table, they can gain correct positioning, while reducing the strain on their back and legs. The “cutout” tabletop provides better body mechanics by letting physical therapists step in.
The AIS System consists of 4 bars which bolt to the subplate. Three 5” wide straps are attached with dual releases and tensions. This system can be added to your table at initial purchase or at a later date.
How Does AIS Work with Model 300 and Model 800?
Comfort Craft’s AIS system is available on our Model 300 table as well as the Model 800. This system allows the therapist to isolate and stretch areas at the optimum angle and height as never before! The AIS system stabilizes the patient and allows the stretch to be held for 2 seconds, released, and repeated, which slowly pushes the tissue beyond the stagnate range. Extended side arm supports enhance comfort and proper position. The table’s mid-split aids in achieving the best range of motion, while the straps stabilize the patient during the stretch.
Model 300 and Model 800 tables are pretty similar. Model 300 reduces a therapist’s workload by 50% and allows the patient to relax into a neutral position during the session. Using the dual foot controls on either side of the table, different body positions are easily obtained. The patient’s position is enhanced by using the power mid-split, which helps relax the patient’s body into a neutral position. Similarly, Model 800’s mid-split bend puts patients in a relaxed position so therapists can open the back area with little effort. The smooth, electric powered mid-split design dramatically improves treatment because the patient’s back is immediately taken out of compression as it is on flat tables. Effortless ergonomics are easily obtained using the cutout in the pad to step in close to the body, allowing therapists to use their own weight, not their strength. This reduces the work effort, while increasing energy levels. The therapist can then open and lengthen the body with comfortable strokes. The head pillow aligns the head with the body, which gives the patient total support, helps the release, and aids in the relaxation of the body. So, when therapists add the AIS system to either one of those fantastic tables, they can more flexibility with the stretch therapy treatment.
As you can see, Comfort Craft’s Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) system is perfect for stretch therapy combined with the mid-split design for electric massage tables.
