The Comfort Craft Bend vs. Regular Flat Massage Tables
The Comfort Craft Bend vs. Regular Flat Massage Tables
People love getting massages, but that does not mean that all massage tables are the same. While most flat massage tables do the job, they are not ideal if you really look at the human body. People have curves, bends, and bumps, and lying on a flat table is not the most comfortable thing to do. While the massage might feel nice, it can be nicer if it were done on an ergonomic massage table, which flat tables are certainly not. Massage tables that bend with the body are more effective at helping people feel perfectly relaxed and recharged. The best massage tables with the bend are the Comfort Craft massage tables which are designed both for the client and massage therapist. But what exactly does the bend design do that regular flat massage tables do not do? Let us find out!
How Does the Bend Work?
Comfort Craft pioneered the mid-split design (the bend) 20 years ago to help massage therapists take the body out of being on a flat surface. This creative approach allows the relaxation of the lower back and supports the arch of the body when lying face up. Another great benefit of the mid-split is that it can be used by therapists to help themselves with opening up their own front line due to overworking their own muscles. In other words, the bend not only improves the treatment and the comfort of the clients, but it also reduces the therapist’s efforts by half and allows him or her to work more efficiently. A two to three-minute massage session can make a major difference in day-to-day work. Therefore, a therapist would no longer need to hunch over the client, putting strain on his or her shoulders, arms, and back just to be able to give the client a good massage.
What Sorts of Mid-Split Tables Can You Find?
At Comfort Craft, there are several ergonomic electric massage tables, and each one is tailored for various therapists and clients’ needs. For example, our newest table, Model 850, is perfect for the advanced bodywork therapist and chiropractors because it comes with a sliding headrest that allows the head to move independently in and out of the headrest, creating space during treatment. This is a major improvement for the patient over being placed in a non-moving foam pillow.
Another popular electric massage table is Model 800, which is much like Model 850 in terms of the sliding headrest and the mid-split bend. The smooth, electric powered mid-split design improves treatment by a lot since the patient’s back is instantly taken out of compression compared to when on a flat massage table. Easy ergonomics can be achieved using the cutout in the pad to step in close to the body, allowing therapists to use their own weight, not their strength during massage treatments. This reduces the work effort, while increasing energy levels.
Unlike regular flat massage tables, Comfort Craft tables are ergonomic and designed to bend with the body, making treatments more effective. Why not try the bend for yourself and see? If you want to learn more about Comfort Craft tables, call Jim; he loves talking tables!
